On July 31, 2018, President Trump signed The Strengthening Career & Technical Education For The 21st Century Act, legislation reforming and reauthorizing the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act. The act authorizes $1.2 billion for CTE in 2019, rising over six years to $1.3 billion a year.
